Not only will you positively drive forwards truly exciting large scale cell biology & stem cell projects, but you will spearhead a team of high performing and successful Research Assistants, Laboratory Technicians & Scientists.

Day-to-Day Duties of The Role:

  • Lead the Cellular Generation team and Organoids Platform to drive research projects within the Institute
  • Lead and guide staff on a journey of continual improvement approach to the services offered ensuring a culture of excellent customer service and high-quality delivery.
  • Drive the development and adoption of new operational approaches to organoid generation, stem cell generation and differentiation to influence ways of working.
  • Drive and deliver large scale cell biology projects so that they are completed on time and are delivered at a high quality.
  • Full Line Management responsibility for numerous direct reports
  • Matrix Management responsibilities across project teams

The Requirements For The Head Of Cellular Generation:

  • PHD in a biological subject or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in a Managerial role
  • Familiar with the regulation requirements for Human and Animal sample tissue
  • Experience in project management with proven success in delivering numerous projects on time and to agreed quality standards
  • Experience of successfully line managing teams and resolving a range of people related issues
  • Experience in successfully managing change and rapidly shifting priorities
  • Experience in the management of teams/projects involved in scientific research - involving cellular generation of Organoid and stem cell lines (iPSCs)

The requirements of the Life Science Export Sales Executive:

  • Educated to degree level in a Biological or Chemistry based subject such as Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Analytical Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Immunology, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Preferably you will already have at least 1 year of experience in either a field-based sales or internal sales role selling laboratory equipment or consumables to the life sciences sector
  • Ideally you will also have experience in an export sales and/or channel management/distributor sales environment in the scientific industry
  • A full UK driving license is required as well as a valid UK passport to travel Internationally when required
  • As our client is very agile in their processes and decision making, they therefore require individuals who enjoy working autonomously and with lots of initiative
  • Good IT skills - this includes the MS Office family as well as CRM systems

The responsibilities of the Life Science Export Sales Executive: 

  • Manage existing export worldwide sales & customer relationships to generate business to meet company and personal goals
  • Contacting existing and prospective customers by correspondence and phone providing a proactive service to secure business on a monthly and annual basis
  • Preparing sales forecasts to assist the management team when setting annual growth targets and KPI’s
  • Proactively identifying new opportunities and ensure visible tracking of prospect progress to effectively close business in a timely manner
  • Provide transparent internal feedback concerning market trends and competitor activity as appropriate
  • Continuous prospecting to identify and develop commercial relationships with existing and prospective customers to build a pipeline and develop existing accounts and secure new business to meet sales and margin targets
  • Ensure complete traceability of any issued quotations, sample requests, literature requests and complaints in conjunction with customer service
  • Effective use of the CRM tool and ensure accurate recording of activity to give better visibility to the business which will ensure seamless cover in the event of an absence
  • Respond within 48 hours to sales leads by telephone and followed up by e-mail
  • In the future organise field activity to ensure efficient and structured appointments with a consideration for time and cost whilst accepting that travel and overnight stays may be necessary
  • Attend exhibitions as required that will involve overnight stays, either in the UK or overseas
  • Acquiring and maintaining product knowledge to maximise customer relations

The requirements of the Chromatography Field Service Engineer:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or Site Engineer with current experience servicing Chromatography equipment in areas such as HPLC, GC, Ion Chromatography, LC, UPLC   
  • You could also be a super user of Chromatography equipment in the laboratory as a Chemist, Analyst, Scientist, Equipment Technician, Metrologist, or equivalent role with hands on experience of troubleshooting & maintaining Chromatography systems
  • You will have a background in either a Life Sciences, Chemistry or Engineering qualification (or qualified by experience)
  • Experience of LCMS or GCMS is an advantage but not required
  • A full & valid Irish driver’s license and passport is essential with the ability to travel nationally and stay away from home when required

The responsibilities of the Chromatography  Field Service Engineer:

  • As the Chromatography Field Service Engineer, you will perform all service-related work on a range of high performance Chromatography instruments at clients sites across Ireland    
  • You will be responsible to report accurately and timely of all activities as required (e.g. Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, etc.)
  • Assure responsive telephone support and diagnostic as well as on-site Services to exceed the customer’s expectation and making them successful by using TMO instruments
  • Always ensure highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer loyalty and escalate issues if necessary to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible
  • Responsible to manage the company’s assets provided, such as Car Stock/Inventory of Parts, Computer, Telephone, general Tools, Software, Company Car, Manuals etc
  • Optimize the own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary partners for service planning/scheduling (Dispatching function, Team Leader, others)
  • Ensure accurate completion of all reports as required (e.g., Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, etc.) (Assures alignment of all activities at the customer site with the rest of TMO and informs other part of TMO of important information with information respect to our customers (e.g., information about new purchases to sales/lead generation)
