My client is a global leader in the field of Quality Control/Analysis for Food and Hygiene testing laboratories. They are Growing very rapidly as they have focused on the demands of the European market and have direct sales forces in France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Ireland, and Switzerland, as well as built-up our distributor presence throughout Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

My client was also Awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise for international trade and development, one of the highest awards bestowed on a UK company

Day-to-Day duties of the role:

• Working directly with the respected Strategic Procurement Manager to assist with all Procurement projects
• Conduct Price Analysis when required
• Assisting various departments on their purchasing requirements across the site
• Querying price increases with suppliers
• Investigating Invoice Queries
• Assisting the Procurement Manager with Contract Management
• Working closely with my clients Planning department, and other internal departments
• Being part of Cross functional teams to ensure procurement function is fulfilled in Group collaborative projects.
• Negotiate Price with Suppliers to drive down overall cost

The requirements:

• You will possess 1+ years experience as a procurment assistant or Junior Buyer in any industry
• Strong Knowledge of Excel is essential
• You will have a understanding/knowledge in what Contract Managment entails
• Knowledge of the tendering/sourcing process is desirable
• Knowledge of SAP or Ariba is desirable
• A strong desire to learn is a key for success in this role
