  The requirements of the Maintenance Technician role:  

• You will already have experience as a Maintenance Engineer/Maintenance Technician or similar engineering role with experience in maintaining, repairing and calibrating automated systems ideally in a manufacturing based environment
• This could be from a range of industries to include Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, FMCG, Personal Care, Food & Beverage or similar sectors
• Hold a relevant engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds etc) or be qualified by experience
• Very strong analytical skills with proven ability to break down and solve complex problems in a logical and structured approach
• PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

Area Sales Manager – Immunology & Autoimmunity Clinical Diagnostics

Territory: Northeast England and Scotland

Ideal home locations: Living anywhere on territory which includes the Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Middlesborough, York, Leeds, Hull, Bradford, Huddersfield regions

My client is a global market leading manufacturer and supplier of cutting-edge clinical diagnostics equipment, assays and reagents which are used internationally for the screening and monitoring of various diseases in the areas of Oncology (Multiple Myeloma), Diabetes, Hemoglobinopathy and other rare pathologies

Key responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager Immunology & Autoimmunity Clinical Diagnostics:

• Achieve agreed sales and profit targets for instrumentation and reagents
• Responsible for managing and developing growth for my client’s business and for coordinating company activity within a designated territory for both active customer accounts and prospective accounts
• To identify key decision makers and stakeholders across each account and effectively implement our sales cycle to ensure positive tender outcomes
• Responsible for all communications between personnel and the customer and for ensuring new product implementations go smoothly
• Develop demand for, and adoption of, new assays and instrumentation

• Work closely with internal resources to develop and implement customer specific strategies
• Identify and inform the Commercial Manager and Product Manager of competitor activities or customer trends within the territory
• Monitor and manage contract compliance, often engaging with Managed Service Providers
• Proactive assistance in tender projects, working closely with my client’s personnel to develop tailored proposals
• Awareness of and proactive adaption to local changes to customer structure, including laboratory networking and consolidation, procurement hubs and developments in clinical care and commissioning pathways
• Maintain diary schedule and manage customer information in the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)
• Deliver product and scientific presentations to customers, focusing on how the solution can address their established needs

The requirements of the Area Sales Manager - Immunology & Autoimmunity Clinical Diagnostics::

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of proven NHS diagnostic sales experience selling instruments and/or assays or reagents ideally in the field of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)/Clinical Diagnostics
• You could have experience selling products in areas such as Autoimmunity, Immunology, Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Oncology, Blood Transfusion, Clinical Microbiology, Capillary Electrophoresis or any other related area in clinical diagnostics/IVD
• You could also be a customer focused industry based Applications Specialist/Technical specialist who wants to progress into sales OR a commercially aware Biomedical Scientist in the NHS who wants to carve a career in clinical diagnostic sales
• Knowledge of Immunology, Serum Protein Electrophoresis, HB screening or HbA1c would be a big advantage
• You will have a BSc Degree or HND in a life sciences subject, ideally this would be in areas such as Biomedical Science, Genetics, Molecular Biology,
• Experience in negotiating and managing contracts, both directly and as a third-party supplier
• Experience in managing the submission of successful tender proposals
• Experience in dealing with multiple customers and ability to manage VIP customer relationships
• Demonstration of strong team-working, especially in a matrix environment
• Proven experience in IT skills. (MS word, Excel, Power point, use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel and stay away from home when required
• Full and ideally clean UK driving licence and valid passport

Base Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary Circa £40,000 – £55,000 (DOE)

The Requirements For The Head Of Cellular Generation:

• PHD in a biological subject or equivalent experience
• Significant experience in a Managerial role

• Experience in project management with proven success in delivering numerous projects on time and to agreed quality standards
• Experience of successfully line managing teams and resolving a range of people related issues
• Experience in successfully managing change and rapidly shifting priorities
• Experience in the management of teams/projects involved in scientific research - involving cellular generation of Organoid and stem cell lines (iPSCs)

The requirements of the Advanced Research Histologist::

• 1-3 years practical histology laboratory work experience from either academia, hospitals, biotech or pharmaceutical industries
• Ideally, but not a must, understanding of working to a HTA compliance level
• Experience in any of the following histology areas: Wet lab histology, RNA extraction, imaging, staining, RNA sequencing, library sample preparation, freezing samples/tissue, mapping of gene expression, paraffin embedding, vision spatial transcription, fish fluorescence in situ hybridization, RNA Scope
• Good attention to detail and communication skills

The responsibilities of the Advanced Research Histologist:

• To provide histology-based expertise to the cellular generation and phenotyping platform
• Progress human tissue and cellular projects, involving generating, culturing, manipulating a variety of tissues or cell lines (stem cells, primary cells, immortalised cell lines and malaria parasites)
• As the Histologist, you would be working on a variety of samples: skin, kidney, liver, heart
• Analyse the tissue for other companies to produce data that is send back to other companies
• Running cellular phenotyping, assays & imaging, activities on the lines
• Working independently on carrying out high quality tissue processing, cell culture, cell biology in the histology position
• Performing tissue or cell manipulation such as fixing, cryosectioning, staining, differentiation, transduction, and transfections to a high standard to prepare them for downstream analysis
• Develop and run tissue and cellular protocols and assays to generate accurate data
• Ensure accurate record keeping, in line with CGaP standards
• Working on 20 different projects within a team of 5

• You will have demonstratable experience using a range of AKTA chromatography equipment and columns
• Experience in crystal manipulation/ freezing, solving protein-ligand X-ray crystal structures independently would be a plus
• Ideally you will have a PhD in a protein based area such as Biochemisty, Protein Science, Molecular Biology or related areas (BSc/MSc degree candidates are also welcomed to apply with relevant industry experience

• Liaising between project manager, clients, and safety assessors on regulatory/claims issues
• Generating INCIs

• Manage the transfer from lab to manufacturing and advise on risk in scale up

The requirements of the Formulation Chemist:

• You will already have a minimum 5 years’ experience as a Formulation Chemist, Formulation Scientist, NPD Chemist, Development Chemist, Cosmetic Chemist, or equivalent role
• You will also have specific experience of formulating either Skincare and/or haircare products
• Other formulation experience of cosmetics/personal care product categories will also be considered
• Educated with a Diploma in Society of Cosmetic sciences or similar qualification (or qualified by experience)
• Experience in process manufacturing
• Knowledge of EU Cosmetics Directive
• Able to communicate well with management, colleagues, and clients
• Confident and self-driven
• Ability to multitask with excellent organisational skills
