Location: Cambridge, UK (Office based position) – Hybrid office/home working programme, enabling the team to work from home but also come into their gorgeous offices 2 or 3 times a week. It’s completely flexible and arranged directly with the line manager upon starting

Our client is a Specialist Life Sciences Marketing Agency who have a passion for how science can continue to improve the world around us, and secondly, how they can play their part by connecting life science professionals with the people, tools and technologies they need.

Examples of industry sectors they currently work in: Life Sciences / Biotechnology, Drug Discovery, Contract / Laboratory Research, Life Sciences Informatics/ LIMS, Laboratory / Clinical Diagnostics and Biopharma  

The Requirements of the Marketing Account Manager:

  • In order to be considered for this Marketing position you must have a minimum of 3+ years managing marketing campaigns (could be inhouse or within a marketing agency) in the Life Sciences / Biotech, Laboratory Equipment / Consumables supplies or the Biosciences/ Biopharma industry
  • A positive, proactive attitude and someone who is keen to learn and develop (our client looks at the Account Managers they hire as the Account Directors of tomorrow, so they are looking for people who share vision and ambition)
  • Must be living in a commutable distance to Cambridge
  • Our client would be looking for someone with good personal values and with a mindset such as: doing a great job and getting things done, being a modest expert, living to learn from your mistakes, a true analytical thinker and always thinking of the team first

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a Marketing Account Manager across several inbound clients, supported by a team of Account Executives
  • Create integrated inbound marketing strategies and plans that are targeted to the needs and objectives, with the support of a more senior Inbound Account Director
  • Manage and execute against plans by briefing and working with our clients specialist executional writing, design and development teams to deliver results, on deadline and on budget
  • Review content, assets and deliverables to ensure they are of high quality, effectively meet or exceed the brief and effectively communicate key client messages
  • Build client relationships, manage projects and effectively communicate expectations, plans and results across the combined agency-client team
  • To help fuel your ongoing development, training will be supplied in areas such as inbound strategy and consulting, team training, management and mentoring


  • £34,000 – £39,000 Basic Salary (DOE)
