Internal Account Manager – Chromatography Consumables and Services – Scotland

Salary: £24,000 – £29,000 (DOE) + £4,800 Bonus Paid Monthly + 8% Company Wide Profit Performance Bonus + End of year Sales Over Target Bonus, Paid in September (Total take-home bonus potential: £7,000 – £10,000 p.a.) + 8% non-contributory Pension + Private Healthcare (You and Family) + Death in Service (4x Basic Salary) + 24 Days Holiday (plus 8 days stats) + Free Parking on Site + IPhone and Laptop

Based: Glasgow, Scotland (Internal Role)

The Requirements:

  • As the Internal Sales Representative you will ideally have previous Sales experience within any industry and could be working in a role such as: Account Manager, Sales Representative, Sales Executive, Sales Consultant, Sales Advisor or a Territory Manager – working within a target/KPI driven environment
  • You must have come from a Chemistry degree/related background such as: Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or Organic/In-Organic Chemistry and have a great knowledge of techniques such as: Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, LC, GC, HPLC and Analytical Chemistry within the Internal Sales Representative role (hands on Laboratory experience would be ideal)
  • My client requires that the successful Internal Sales Representative possess excellent communication and organisational skills, you must be a real relationship builder and have the ability to sell companies products in a Technical and Knowledgeable way
  • You must be living in Scotland right now and be within a commutable distance to their offices which are based near Glasgow as the Internal Sales Representative

The Responsibilities:

  • You will be selling the companies market leading range of products and services on the phone to a varied range of customers from Procurement, Buyers and Purchasing Managers as well as Laboratory Managers, Research Assistants and Chemist’s/end users within the Laboratory
  • Internally based, you will be supporting the Account Manager covering the South West of England territory, working hand in hand with them via telephone and email on a daily basis, you may also get the opportunity to visit some of your customers 2-3 times per quarter face to face, maintaining all call productivity level and updating the CRM (Sage) at all times
  • The products you will be selling are: Chromatography Consumables, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, SPE, IR, E-learning, Training and Analytical Services, really achieving the optimum levels of business for each opportunity by cross selling and up selling across the product ranges

  • Their Head Office situated around 20 minutes from Glasgow is a former Tartan Factory and is now home to their market leading internal sales team that have all come from an Analytical/ Chemistry background to be a part of this highly successful organisation, with great scope for progression and an excellent management team the next steps for you could be an opportunity to progress into a field based Sales or Team Leader role
