Commercial Q & RA Manager – Northern Region

Salary: Basic is flexible depending on experience + 10% Bonus + Company Car or Allowance + Pension + Private Medical + Life Insurance + Dental + Childcare + Excellent Career Progression

Based: High Wycombe, UK

The Requirements:
• Minimum of a BSc Degree within a Scientific, Chemistry or similar subject
• Currently working within a quality assurance management or supervisor role with at least 10 years of experience within industries such as: Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medical, Cosmetics or a similar industry
• Proven success of building and leading a team, managing and developing talent
• Lead Auditor trained (ISO 9001)
• Experience of managing a certificated ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Skilled at managing ambiguity, influencing without authority and driving for results
• Experience of working within a global, multi-cultural, matrix organisation
• Solid working knowledge of IVDD, Environmental, Health & Safety, and related regulation
• Basic knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma principles
• Deep and current knowledge of Quality Management principles in a European commercial environment

Summary of the role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Commercial Q&RA for Europe, the Manager – Commercial Q&RA Northern Region will lead all Q&RA and E, H&S activities needed to support Northern region commercial operations. The role has direct management responsibility for 2 Q&RA professionals, one located in the UK office and the other in the Sweden office.

The Responsibilities:
• Maintain, implement and continually improve the processes and infrastructure of the Northern region QMS with the purpose of providing both best in class compliance and business support for the Northern region commercial organisation
• Actively recruit, develop and retain talent within the Northern region commercial Q&RA organisation
• Continually develop, monitor and report on the metrics needed to gauge the performance of the Quality System
• Establish and drive successful fulfilment of Northern region commercial Q&RA objectives; monitor and report on progress to these objectives
• Support the establishment and fulfilment of Northern region commercial Operations objectives
• Provide input to the EU commercial Q&RA budget
• Liaise with regional and global Q&RA organisation to support the development of and ensure alignment with BEC global policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with external parties as necessary for the effective fulfilment of other role responsibilities. This includes but should not be limited to MHRA, MPA and BIVDA
• Provide guidance to the Northern region commercial organization on EH&S regulations and oversee all EH&S activities, ensuring continued ISO14001 certification
• Manage and maintain the UK&I information security management system, ensuring compliance with internal and NHS requirements
• Support the application of DBS tools throughout EU and drive DBS activity within the Northern region commercial Q&RA function
• Otherwise support the Northern region business and the EU commercial Q&RA department, as required
