Account Manager / Product Manager – Beauty Products

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (DOE) + Breakfast Provided + Flexi-hours + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Pension + Discounted Health Cover + Opportunity To Grow With A Company That Expanding At A Rapid Rate

Office Based: South West London

The Requirements:

• As the Account Manager / Product Manager you will need to have an understanding of formulations and cosmetics legislation as well as exposure to contract manufacturing and the processes involved with at least three years in a B2B account management or new product development position

• Dynamic self-starter and motivator committed to providing an exceptional customer service in a very fast paced environment

• You will need to possess a proven track record at building and maintaining relationships with independent retail, travel and publishing partners

• Demonstrate outstanding business acumen and a track record of Account Management and proven history of achieving sales targets

• Travelling out to customers and meeting with them nationwide (predominantly in the London area but you will need to be open to travelling further afield should it be required)

• A basic understanding of cosmetic formulation for products such as skincare, hair care, colour-cosmetics and nail care is preferred but not essential

The Role of Account Manager / Product Manager:

• As the Account Manager / Product Manager you will be working with the Beauty Brand Partnership Manager to nurture existing beauty clients offering excellent customer service

• Maximising sales potential with each client by developing ranges for beauty boxes, hotels, airlines and sample marketing campaigns

• Providing total customer satisfaction to clients by working on all aspects of the development, approval and re-order process and managing the quotation system to clients

• Managing a product development critical path process through to point of receiving a PO

• Liaising with Purchasing and Sourcing teams to ensure that product offering is commercially viable and technically achievable meeting aggressive cost, quality and logistical targets and monitoring costs and margins received from suppliers

• Being proactive in new product development including round the table discussions to brainstorm new ideas to grow accounts to drive the business forward and increase sales opportunities

• Working with the Brand Partnership Manager to develop industry leading sample ranges for airlines/hotels etc. and recognising and promoting cross selling opportunities between Retail and Brand teams to ensure our product expertise are being marketed in an entrepreneurial way

• Understanding market trends in the colour-cosmetics, skincare, hair care, nail care, beauty accessories or similar and tailor these to individual customer needs

• Attending trade fairs where necessary to enhance knowledge of product & market competitors

• Keeping updated on relevant and applicable trade publications and websites to ensure you are always looking for new opportunities to benefit the business

• Ensuring that the Brands Admin Assistant is up to date and has been given all accurate information with regards to new PO’s

• Understanding the importance of quality control through all stages of product development
