Based: Germany (Ideally based in or around Munich)

The Requirements:

  • As the Sales Executive you must have 2+ Years of experience within an: Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative, Territory Manager or similar role working in the Life Sciences reagents/Laboratory Consumables industry
  • Ideally you will be selling Cell Biology products, Molecular Biology Products, Reagents, Proteins, Antibodies, Assays, ELISA or Western Blotting
  • Have experience in dealing with Pharmaceutical companies at all levels
  • You will hold a full driving licence
  • Based in Germany ideally in or around the Munich area

The Responsibilities:

Focus: Selling biological reagents and instrumentation to the Life Science Industry, acquiring new business and growing existing sales within the defined territory

Responsible for visiting customers at least 3 days per week to sell biological reagents to the Life Science Industry, for the following purposes:

  • Build the customer database in the defined territory
  • Introduce and sell the companies brands and products to customers
  • Handle commercial issues arising e.g. negotiations, tenders, etc. in conjunction with management
  • Provide technical advice to customers where necessary
  • Obtain referrals and prospect for new business within existing accounts and in new accounts

Sales Strategy:

  • Plan and implement sales strategy to achieve sales budget
  • Develop a regional business plan to drive the sales strategy
  • Plan and effectively manage key accounts
  • Represent the company and maintain a professional manner at scientific exhibitions
  • Provide feedback to territory managers and internal sales team on the sales area, successes and difficulties of implementing your sales strategy, competition and the state of the market via regularly sales reports, and CRM system

Operational responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company operational procedures, ensuring you
  • Apply the Company’s commercial and operational policy
  • Control of expenses and submission of expenses on a monthly basis
  • Work within guidelines of Company Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Customer Liaison/Service:

  • Provide customer with regular contact and exceptional customer service
  • Maintain a regular and high level of contact with customers via telephone to build on the relationships established by visits
  • Ensure customer database is regularly updated and all relevant information is logged and downloaded within the required timescale
  • Maintain a high level of scientific and technical knowledge
  • Work with internal sales team to maximise communication and improve efficiencies within sales teams
  • Work with Application Specialists in order to drive instrument sales
