Territory Account Manager – South of France
Salary: €45,000 – €55,000 + $40,000 OTE Uncapped & Paid Quarterly + Company Car or Car Allowance + Private healthcare and medical cash back plan + Auto-enrolment pension scheme + Employee Share Purchase Scheme + 25 days holiday (plus public holidays) + 11 ATT Days
Territory: South of France

Ideal home location: Ideally you will be living in the Lyon or Marseille areas

The Requirements of the Territory Sales Manager:

  • You will already have 4+ years’ sales experience selling a range of laboratory equipment and/or consumables such as PCR/qPCR Plates, 2D-coded Sample Storage Tubes, Assay Microplates, NGS Instruments or other related product areas such as Automated Liquid Handling Robotics, Manual Liquid Handling, ELISA kits, Antibodies, Cell Lines, DNA/RNA Reagents or closely related areas
  • Educated to BSc level or higher in a Life Sciences subject (Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry or closely related area)
  • Practical laboratory experience, ideally with sample storage knowledge
  • Living on territory and knowledge of customers and accounts within Pharma, Biotech, Academia
  • Evidence of being an enthusiastic self-starter who is results orientated
  • Bright, self-motivated, passionate and tenacious in character
  • Organised & have good presentation skills to present during technical demonstrations & sales calls
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • High level of negotiation skills
  • Motivation to achieve individual sales targets
  • You must hold a full EU driving licence and valid passport

The Role of the Territory Sales Manager:

  • Managing the South of France territory, you will be responsible for selling my clients complete portfolio of Life Sciences Consumables and Instruments
  • You will be focused on growing accounts within the Biobanking, Hospital & University Research departments, Biotechnology & Drug Discovery markets, as well as identifying new markets
  • Maintain contact and follow up with customer accounts to ensure that needs are understood and supplied
  • Monitor targets and sales within the territory and manage any gaps against target and expected performance
  • Organising mini exhibitions of products at customer sites; follow up leads and ensure that comprehensive information and support is provided to customers
  • Be aware of industry trends and be able to act as a source of information for customers, generating a role as a point of contact that adds value
  • Feedback on customers’ requirements and make recommendations on strategies to improve sales and customer marketing
  • Reinforce the company’s position as a supplier of high-quality sample Management products, delivered with a quality service
  • Attend and facilitate exhibitions as and when required Maintain and increase ‘face to face’ customer interaction with efficient territory planning
  • Ensure accurate management of CRM records (SFDC) within the territory
