Technical Support Advisor

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 DOE + 23 Days Holiday (Plus Bank Holidays) + Excellent Pension + Medical Cash Plan

Based: Andover

The Requirements of the Technical Support Advisor:

  • High level of computer literacy including MS packages
  • Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of quality
  • Robust personality to deal with difficult / pressurised situations
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information including mechanical and electrical diagrams remotely
  • Excellent attention to detail and written skills, with proven capability to multi-task
  • Experience of working in a highly pressurised, time bound technical environment and/or a pharmaceutically regulated environment
  • A passionate belief in exemplary customer service
  • Strong administrative experience and detail-focussed
  • Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships

The Responsibilities of the Technical Support Advisor:

  • Providing clear, helpful information and advice to Global Sales Offices, Distributors and customers, to support on site equipment issues primarily via phone and email or other office communication systems, with occasional onsite support where required
  • Work closely with sales teams and key contacts to provide seamless customer service experience for all interactions for a united, world class team
  • Devise, write, update and support the documentation required for all Life Science equipment types including new product introduction projects, to enable all engineers UK/EI/Global including our Distributor Partners and customers trained in first line fix to be able to diagnose, service and maintain all equipment in the field
  • Provide feedback on issues with equipment and processes to enable continuous improvement and to feed this into R&D / Quality so that next generation equipment is improved
  • When required, lead engineer training courses on equipment, including preparation, collating feedback, providing updates to course content & occasional onsite training for customers
