Senior Sales Manager, Clinical Oncology – EMEA

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + 50% bonus + car allowance + excellent company benefits

Home Based: UK and Europe

The Requirements of Senior Sales Manager:

  • Significant sales experience in the Oncology field for the Clinical Diagnostics (ideally) or Life Science industry, other key areas you could be working in: Pathology, Healthcare Pathology, Radiotherapy or Chemotherapy
  • Sales management experience in the Clinical Diagnostics/Life Science industry, however if you don’t have management experience but have extensive Clinical Oncology experience you will still be considered
  • Must be able to build relationships at an executive level
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills

The role of Senior Sales Manager:

  • Reporting to the Director of Clinical Genomics, you will manage a sales team of Sales Specialists with approximately 8 direct reports. You will be responsible for shaping the oncology strategy for EMEA leading the execution of our client’s commercial strategies, ensuring budgeted annual sales and profit objectives are met within designated territories and for the district overall
  • Develop, implement and monitor the district business plan to meet assigned revenue and strategic objectives
  • Responsible for the direction, support and motivation of the district sales team to meet agreed targets and objectives
  • Establish territory quotas and achieve the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned
  • Routinely forecast, monitor, and control selling and other expenses for the district within assigned expense budgets
  • Routinely and accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments)
  • Ensure that sales staff achieves their forecasts, follows company guidelines/practices/policies, and provide timely development plans to correct for under performance
  • To drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Solutions) and local sales team & staff to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals
  • Responsible for the recruitment, development, retention, and management of the district sales team
  • Create a sense of urgency and drive accountability within the regional team to meet both financial and strategic goals
  • Coordinate and/or supervise technical/sales/administrative training for the district sales team
  • Monitor, assist, set standards, and evaluate the district sales team performance utilising the performance management tools
  • Responsible for ensuring Salesforce.com (SFDC) is completely utilised, updated, and compliant with company policies and practices
