Sales Specialist

Base Salary Circa: €55,000 – €65,000 DOE + Commission Scheme (2% of Sales Turnover) + Fully Expensed Company Car + Private Health Insurance (Up to 2,500 euros) + Pension (5% company and 3% employee) + Phone + Laptop + Credit Card + 23 days holiday (+ stats)

Territory: Ireland (National)

The Requirements of the Sales Specialist

  • You will already have 2+ years experience selling Chromatography/Analytical Chemistry capital equipment such as Mass Spectrometry, Spectroscopy, FTIR, UV-VIS, HPLC, LCMS, GCMS into Pharmaceutical, CRO (Contract Research Organisations), CDMO, Test Analysis Labs in Ireland
  • Good understanding of the Pharmaceutical lab market across Ireland covering R&D, QC and IPC/Production
  • Up to date knowledge of IQ.OQ.PQ and GLP/GMP procedures
  • This role requires you to have a “hunter” style sales mentality and as such be able to seek out and convert revenue opportunities for multi-vendor service contracts 
  • Good understanding of HPLC & other Chromatography techniques such as UPLC either from previous hands on laboratory experience or from a BSc, MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or closely related chemistry-based degree
  • Must hold a full Irish/European driving licence and be willing to travel on a National & when required International basis

The Responsibilities of the Sales Specialist:

  • Responsible for all sales activities & new business for existing and new clients by working closely with local sales and local service team leads and Service Manager
  • Regular customer key account review meetings with the Head of Services
  • Close cooperation, coordination and communication with internal sections (service, administration, product management)
  • Supervision of key accounts in the sales region
  • Responsible for all events, fair attendances and seminars in the sales region
  • Consolidation of existing business relations as well as establishment of new customers and business partners in the sales region
  • Cooperation with innovations in marketing, sales and product development
  • Continuous improvement of internal processes for efficient sales transactions in cooperation with other departments
