Our client is a world leading provider to the Life Sciences industry, from compound management in high-throughput screening applications, to human biological sample inventory management they have developed a range of solutions to cover all sample storage needs – this specific role is working in the Bioinformatics division

Their industry leading automated stores and freezers are flexible and modular while providing secure and accurate inventory control, optimizing customer workflows and improving sample throughput across a range of applications, from compound management and basic research – biological samples, covid sequencing, drug discovery and vaccine storage, to molecular diagnostics, and gene therapy

Achieved year on year double digit growth for the past 15 years, and this division specifically now has a turnover of $30M globally, which is over double the turnover this time last year

Day-to-Day duties of the role:

  • Covering the EMEA region with a focus on Mainland Europe and the UK initially, the Informatics Sales Specialist will be responsible for development and growth of the company’s European customer base – located remotely within UK or Germany, with an anticipated 25% to as much as 50% international travel once restrictions allow so
  • The role will lead all sales related facets of strategic alignment, relationship management, sales process and engagement to support the growth of the Informatics business – selling to C Level contacts
  • The objective of this role is to develop an integrated relationship model and sales approach that can allow the organisation to partner with targeted customers in a solution-based delivery model
  • Oversees alignment with key account business drivers and assures continuity between Sales and delivery (solutions) teammates
  • Explore and discover informatics growth opportunities and assist in the development of the associated business case for growth, both organic and inorganic
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the customer from a strategy, financial performance, compelling event (news/developments of relevance to Informatics), and relationship standpoint
  • Coordinating engagements and planning with other colleagues on an overall customer engagement approach that leverages all assets of the Informatics offerings to align and contribute to a comprehensive solution approach

The requirements:

  • In order to be considered for this role you must be working in a direct sales position specifically in the Bioinformatics industry, with at least 5 years experience (could be 3 years applications / support and then 2 years sales for example)
  • As well as the above you will also have experience selling to C or D level customer contacts
  • Willing to travel up to 50% once travel restrictions allow so
  • Full right to work in the UK / Europe, and you must have a full driving licence
  • Ideally you will be based near an International airport, with good transport links

Salary and Benefits:

  • £60,000 – £90,000 basic
  • £28,000 – £65,000 bonus potential (depending on performance)
