Day-to-Day duties of the role:

  • Achieve Sales and Margin target set by the company focussing on the high turnover golden triangle territory; London, Oxford and Cambridge
  • Visit customers to promote and sell the Laboratory equipment and consumables/ Life Science products range which is currently combatting the fight against COVID-19/ Coronavirus with their DNA/RNA and PCR range, as well as other high quality products in fields across Cell & Molecular Biology and all the named laboratory techniques/ products as above
  • Support the other Field Sales Team members with customer visits and demonstrations or any other required field/ remote selling activity, partnering with customers such as Reserach/ Academia, Biopharma and Pharmaceutical accounts and many more
  • Provide customers with timely responses and quotations
  • Generate leads for key suppliers and provide regular feedback on open opportunities
  • Attend joint customer visits with key suppliers as well as product training sessions hosted by key suppliers
  • Identify new business opportunities within the territory
  • Keep up to speed with new market trends in the Life Science sector
  • Manage and maintain CRM to capture data on activity, leads and actions

The requirements:

  • Ideally you will have experience of selling Life Science/ Laboratory consumables and /or equipment for companies such as Avantor/ VWR, Thermo Fisher, Bio-Rad, (could be working in inside sales or field based sales right now) as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, Area Manager, Business Development Manager, Territory Manager or similar
  • Strong technical knowledge of Life Science Research, including disciplines such as Molecular Biology and Cell Biology, Cell / Tissue Culture, Electrophoresis or similar as mentioned above
  • Willing to travel up within the territory, and must be living in a commute distance within the Oxford, Cambridge and London area
  • Full right to work in the UK and you must have a full driving licence

Salary and Benefits:

  • £30,000 – £35,000 basic
  • £30,000 bonus potential (depending on performance)
  • Company Car or Allowance
  • Holiday entitlement 24 Days plus Bank Holidays
