Key Account Manager – Switzerland

Home location: Switzerland with easy access to motorway links and an international airport

Basic Salary is Negotiable DOE + Excellent OTE & Additional Earning Potential + Health Insurance Subsidy + Exemption from salary deductions – NBU/KTG + Company Car + Phone + Laptop + Holidays + Regional Public Holidays

The Requirements of the Key Account Manager role:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a life science (Molecular/Cellular/Microbiology based), or related field, Ph.D. preferred
  • 3 -5+ years of proven successful field sales experience in reagents or services to life science and ideally to drug discovery researchers in academic and biotech/pharmaceutical companies
  • 3 -5+ years of proven successful collaboration with key customer accounts and major research organizations in their region
  • Proficiency in organising time and territory activities in order to efficiently maximise sales results
  • Ability to increase sales and customer penetration while working with multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Willing and able to travel on a National level and internationally as required with a valid EU drivers licence and passport
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across cultures and with diverse functions
  • Excellent German and English language skills. French language skills will be an added value
  • Strategic thinker and effective negotiator
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organisation

The Role of the Key Account Manager role:

  • Achieve sales targets in Switzerland for all BioPharma customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with BioPharma accounts, visiting customers on a regular basis at their accounts and/or at scientific conferences and meetings
  • Execute the sales strategy in alignment with the EMEA marketing team
  • Identify new business and sales opportunities across all Life Science Group product lines
  • Facilitate customer queries and work with relevant business partners to ensure customer success, ensuring that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently in order to increase business opportunities
  • Work closely with the local Field Application Specialists and the BioPharma Sales Specialists to ensure the correct support and allocation to key evaluations of sales projects in the region

  • Supporting laboratories throughout the world their products and solutions are based on technologies used to separate, purify, identify, analyse, and amplify biological materials such as antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids, cells and bacteria
  • This is a newly created position that will strengthen my clients existing reputation and success in the Switzerland region
