Field Support Engineer – X-Ray Fluorescence

Salary: Wide Open DOE + 10% Company Bonus + Company Car + Excellent Company Benefits Package

Territory: Europe

Home Based: Frankfurt, Germany


The Requirements of Field Support Engineer:

  • A minimum of a BSc Degree within a Scientific or Engineering field – or trained at apprentice level within engineering
  • Ideally you will currently be working as a Service Specialist, Service Engineer, Support Engineer, Service Technician
  • You must have 3 years’ experience working with XRF equipment (X-Ray Fluorescence) – You may also be experienced within XRD machinery (X-Ray Diffraction)
  • You must be a fluent speaker of both German and English
  • Have a full valid driving licence and valid passport
  • The Field Support Engineer must be willing and able to travel upwards of 75% of the time not only throughout their country but across the whole of Europe and when required across EMEA

The Role of Field Support Engineer:

  • Traveling throughout the territory 75%+ of your time visiting customers to support them with their maintenance, installation and repair needs
  • You will be working with customers on manufacturing sites for the likes of Glass companies, mining companies, pharmaceutical companies and even some academia-based accounts
  • The products themselves and utilised by the QA departments of these businesses so you will be working with QA Technicians, QA Analysts and other various end users
  • You will be to main point of contact for customer interaction across the European territory
  • The Field Support Engineer must be autonomous and manage their own diary and travel whilst maintaining the ability to be flexible where required for urgent requirements at various customer sites
  • Within this role you are the face of the company and have a strong responsibility for the management of customer relationships
