Field Sales Manager – Benelux

Salary: Negotiable (DOE) + £30,000 Bonus + Company Car or Car Allowance + Pension + Health Care and Insurance + Life Insurance + 25 Days Annual Holidays (Plus Bank Holidays) + Mobile Phone + Laptop + Excellent Career Progression

Based/ Territory: UK

The Requirements:

  • As the Field Sales Manager you will have a minimum of 2 years field based sales experience selling Laboratory Reagents / Consumables or RNA/DNA Kits/ Reagents and/or technology platform sales is a strong plus, you will have a very good knowledge of the ‘Chromogenic in situ hybridization platform’ and job titles you could hold are: Account Manager, Sales Specialist, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Area Sales Manager
  • You will hold a minimum of a BSc in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific subject such as: Immunohistochemistry, Gene expression or Functional Genomics in order to be technically sufficient as the Field Sales Manager
  • Within the Field Sales Manager role, a good knowledge of the Gene Expression or Functional Genomics, or related markets is a must and experience (either practical or sales) in any of these areas is a strong plus
  • The characteristic/attribute requirements for this role include: must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet sales goals, hold excellent communication and negotiation skills, have the ability to implement strategic and tactical plans both independently and with a team as well as showcase organisational, prioritisation and planning skills required for successful account management, territory management, and project management

The Responsibilities:

  • Field management of Regional Sales Representatives (up to 3 individuals), and monitoring sales performance in the territory
  • The employee will be responsible for the sale of the products and services within the reagents portfolio to both industrial and academic research institutes within your own territory as well as the sales team members
  • Ensure that all the required levels of attainment are met in terms of: – sales results, call rates, required technical knowledge maintained to the highest level and reporting
  • Perform joint visits with the team to assist their development within the company via coaching, motivating and directing them as applicable in conjunction with the Sales Director
  • Ensure that the team members in the region build and manage accounts in their assigned territories, ensuring all information is logged onto the CRM system in real time
  • Devise and implement successful account and territory strategies within the assigned region that support increased sales and the strategic goals of the Company
