European Sales Specialist – Genomics & BioPharma

Base Salary is negotiable DOE + 15% Bonus (Accelerator scheme up to 140% over target) + Health Care + Pension + Company Car + Phone + Laptop + Holidays + Regional Public Holidays

Your location: Living in Germany and ideally in the Munich area

Territory: UK, Nordics, BeNeLux & DACH – The final territory will be defined by your current home location

The Requirements of the European Sales Specialist:

  • Ideally PhD education (MSc & BSc will be considered) in a life science area such as Molecular/Cellular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Immunology or closely related area
  • 3 -5+ years of successful field sales experience selling equipment and/or reagents in the field of Genomics and ideally in specific areas like PCR/q-PCR/ddPCR/NGS
  • Previous laboratory experience, with molecular biology, biochemistry and Genomic/Gene expression analysis (Sequencing, quantification, amplification ) including digital PCR would be beneficial but not essential
  • In depth technical understanding of laboratory workflows in BioPharma and Biotechnology
  • Proficiency in organising time and territory activities in order to efficiently maximise sales results
  • Ability to travel extensively (50% +) of your time across your territory
  • Full UK or EU passport & drivers licence
  • Ability to increase sales and customer penetration while working with multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Willing and able to travel on a National level and internaionally as required with a valid EU drivers licence and passport
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across cultures and with diverse functions
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities, including presentation skills, in English. Any additional European language is a plus such as German

The Role of the European Sales Specialist:

  • Proactively & consultatively seek out new customers in the Biopharmaceutical and Biotech markets as well as other industrial customers linked to Pharma to drive sales of ddPCR and Genomic analysis instrumentation & reagents
  • Support lead generation and sales activities of the Key Account Managers
  • Organisation and facilitation of scientific discussions between customers and other decision makers and stakeholders
  • Maintaining and developing existing customer relationships
  • Doing customer visits, sales campaigns and road shows together with/without Key account managers and/or others
  • Attending exhibitions and trade shows, including, but not exclusive doing scientific and sales presentations
  • Maintain the installed base report on Pharma market
  • Assist Key Account Managers to maintain customer and sales project data in CRM system
  • Provide relevant market information about customer needs, and market trends as requested
