National Sales Manager – Analytical Chemistry

Salary: Negotiable DOE + OTE: £10,000 – £12,000 (Uncapped) + Laptop + Mobile + Company Car + 5% Matched Pension + Healthcare + 20 days holiday (each year served you get an extra day) + Extra days over Christmas and New Year’s + Death in Service and Illness Insurance + Mobile Phone/ Laptop

Field Based: UK Wide

The Requirements of National Sales Manager:

  • A minimum of a BSc Degree within a Chemistry or related field such as Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, with a good understanding of Analytical Chemistry methodologies especially areas such as titration and infra-red spectroscopy
  • Ideally you will currently be working as a National Sales Manager, Sales Representative, Territory Manager, Account Manager, Sales Specialist
  • Experienced selling Analytical Equipment and/or Wet Chemistry Instruments such as Titration, Spectroscopy (NIR – Near Infrared or Raman), Ion Chromatography or pH Conductivity
  • Strong working knowledge of Analytical Chemistry
  • Be willing to travel extensively stay away from home for work as and when required as you will be conducting national travel
  • Ideally you would have supervisory experience either as a direct line-manager previously or having mentored and trained sales people previously
  • Have a full valid UK driving licence and valid passport

The Role of National Sales Manager:

  • Working under the Process Analytics division which over the last 4 years has grown by 200%. Essentially running a Business within a Business. You would be the Product Champion for the Process Analytics range throughout UK and Ireland: online ion analysis, titration, ion chromatography, voltammetry, colorimetric, pH, conductivity and also online TOC and online NIR Systems
  • You would have full responsibility for managing 1 Account Manager, working with other members of the team to include Marketing (liaising with the department), writing tenders and managing the full commercial division and online prospects and sales, support the development of new products, liaising with R&D and 1/2 visits to the HQ per year
  • Working with clients across the Automotive sector, Airports, Water/ Waste Water, and with decision makers such as Site Chemists, Site Managers and Laboratory Managers
  • Fantastic opportunity to Develop your career and the company within this product field – This product is new to the business and so it is totally down to you what you make of the portfolio
  • As the product is new to the business you will have total autonomy and the ability to make what you wish of the sales, the opportunity and the product range
  • Travelling alongside the Field Reps, 3 days a week on their customer visits. Other 2 days from the office/home – These days would be working on the Marketing side of things

  • This position is to support their service contract business of its full instrument portfolio
  • The successful candidate will develop sales of preventative maintenance contracts for the installed instruments throughout the UK and Ireland
