Bid Manager – Life Sciences
Salary Circa: £25,000 – £28,000 + Up To 8% Matched Pension + Full Private Healthcare (Discounted for Family) + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Buy or Sell an Extra 5 holidays + Free Parking + Child Care Vouchers

Location: Office based in Leicester

The requirements of the Bid Manager:

  • To be considered for the Bid Manger position you must have the ability to produce high quality response documents, combining adherence to company procedures, standards and branding with creative flair
  • Previous experience (1+ years) in a Bid/Tender driven role as a Bid Manager, Tender Specialist, Tender Support etc
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Can establish relationships and contacts easily with the ability to
  • Able to motivate and inspire ‘multi-discipline’ Bid Teams
  • Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Computer literate, with advanced Word skills and good knowledge of Excel with outstanding attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a small team with a flexible approach
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines

The role of the Bid Manager:

  • Within the Bid Manager position you will be responsible for maintaining and updating standard answers and data held in the RFQ system (Qvidian)
  • Review tender portals daily, referring relevant opportunities to Sales teams in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation and production of Bid Response documents to the highest standards of accuracy and presentation, showcasing my client and its offering
  • Lead Bid Teams to ensure deadlines are met, responsibilities are shared and understood, and the group works together to succeed
  • Maintain tender tracking through use of CRM system Athena, including following up submissions for feedback
  • Support the Senior Bid Manager and Sales teams in all aspects of responding to tenders, including liaising with customers and vendors as appropriate
  • Cover for the Senior Bid Manager and office functions as required
