Antibody Sales Specialist – North UK

Territory: North UK (Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds and Scotland)

Home Based: Ideally in Birmingham, Nottingham or Sheffield (Within a 3 Hour commute to Oxford where the Head Office is based)

The Requirements of the Antibody Sales Specialist:

  • To be successful in the position of Antibody Sales Specialist you will have at least 2 years of field sales experience in Life Science, Diagnostics, Biotech or a CRO company (could be local company)
  • Preferred candidates will also have had a background selling active antibodies (not consumables) into the immunology, IVD, biopharma or pharma industries or CRO’s. You will be educated to a minimum BSc level in of the following areas (other relevant biological degrees will be considered): Biomedical Science, Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Virology, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology
  • You will need to be a true self-starter as well as a team player
  • Strong sales, communication and organisational skills with experience in complex and mid to long term sales cycles (3 – 18months) is required
  • The ability to proactively identify, create and close sales opportunities is essential
  • You must be based on territory for the role and preferably be no more than 3 hours away from Oxford
  • You must hold a Full UK Driver’s License

The Role of the Antibody Sales Specialist:

  • Reporting to the European Sales Manager you will be required to proactively search for new accounts across academia, biotech, biopharma & CRO’s that will benefit from my client’s antibody products or services to maximize sales in the designated territory
  • Face-to-face visits with key decision makers and influencers in commercial accounts and selected key academic institutions will be required
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements to provide solutions to meet or exceed their needs
  • Build effective relationships through regular contact to understand, anticipate and meet their future needs
  • Attendance at trade shows, conferences and other marketing events as required
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers with a view to growing long-term and effective business relationships with customers
  • Deliver or facilitate presentations and utilise colleagues as appropriate to demonstrate how my client’s antibody products or services meet customers’ needs
