Home Location: Home based in the North of England (you could be living in Leeds, Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool, Sheffield, York, Newcastle, Glasgow or Edinburgh for example)

My client is a long-standing manufacturer and supplier of innovative GC, LC & MS instrumentation which is utilised in several different industries to include Pharmaceutical, Forensics, Water & Environmental Analysis to name just a few

Day-to-Day duties of the role:

  • Responsible for developing and executing a sales development plan across the North UK and Scotland territory for your specialist industry of Water & Environmental
  • Meeting and exceeding sales and activity targets for the product range of GC (Gas Chromatography), LC (Liquid Chromatography) and MS (Mass Spectrometry) instruments & sample related sample preparation systems
  • Work on all stages of your pipeline every month to ensure a smooth flow of business
  • Responsible for the quality of the solutions that you sell, and for your customers’ satisfaction with their purchases

The Requirements of the Account Manager:

  • You will already have 2+ sales experience selling analytical laboratory and/or Chromatography equipment or consumables/collums such as GC-MS, GC, LC, LC-MS, HPLC, Mass Spectroscopy/ Spectrometry, Automated Sample Preparation systems
  • Ideally you will already have an established customer network within Water Analysis & Environmental companies in the UK
  • Other extensive industry experience within Academia, Biotechnology, CRO’s, Forensics/ Toxicology. Pharmaceutical will be fully considered
  • You will have a sound scientific background and ideally a minimum of a BSc degree in a Chemistry based degree such as Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Forensic Science or related area
  • Previous hands on experience of GC-MS analysis is a distinct advantage
  • Must have a full UK driving licence

  • Base Salary Circa: £40,000 – £55,000 DOE
