Technical Sales Representative – Midlands/ Central UK

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 DOE + 10% Bonus Paid Quarterly + Full expensed company car with fuel card + Up to 6% Pension Scheme + Private Medical Cover + Medicash Scheme + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Buy or Sell 5 Holidays + Profit Share in the company

Location: Field based in the Midlands

The requirements of the Technical Sales Representative:

Essential-
• To be succesful in the role of Technical Sales Representative you must hold a Life Sciences or Chemistry related degree (minimum of a BSc)

• You must be based within the territory which inlcudes the following postcodes: DE, NG, LE, PE, NN, CV, B, WS, OX, MK and LN

• You will have sales experience in the Life Sciences/ Biotechnology industry (Equipment or Consumbles) which could be internal or field based, non Life Sciences sales experience would also be considered however this must be field based experience in order to be considered

• Must hold a full UK driving licence

Advantage-
• Previous experience which meets the specification of the job description would be an advantage i.e. knowledge of: SAP, or any similar CRM system

• Laboratory experience across a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical, industrial and academic segments would be an advantage, particularly where there is a sound understanding of the current marketplace for laboratory equipment, consumable and/or chemicals

The role of the Technical Sales Representative:
• Achievement of annual territory sales and gross margin targets, your patch includes the following postcodes: DE, NG, LE, PE, NN, CV, B, WS, OX, MK and LN
• To promote the company’s products and services to customers within Industrial, Higher Education, Utilities, Food and Beverage accounts
• Outgoing and confident personality, able to effectively engage with customers across all sectors in which they operate and work with all areas of the organisation in order to ensure customer requirements are met
• An ability to deliver a comprehensive value proposition to meet customer needs which includes all relative components of the company’s capabilities
• Work with preferred suppliers on the territory to ensure the correct product profile is sold
• Ensure the customer record database is maintained to the correct standard at all times
• Use the key business tools to help you drive performance SAP, Excel, i-Present and Core Suite
