Scientific Marketing Associate – Oxford, UK
Salary: £19,000 – £21,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Dental + Holidays + Excellent + Life Insurance + Career Progression
Location: Abingdon, Oxford (Office based)

The Requirements:
• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, such as a Biotechnology, Immunology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Neuroscience, Biology or any other similar subject in order to be technically strong within the role

• Ideally (not essential) you will have had experience working in Sales, Marketing, Customer Services or Retail from any industry

• Although full training will be provided, you must be able to work under your own initiative but at the same time not be afraid to ask questions when you need help

The Responsibilities:
Lead Generation Responsibilities –
• Research industry/company/academic profiles to identify key contacts of prospective customers within assigned territories for targeted lead generation
• Using life science knowledge and identify new cross-selling opportunities for new product releases
• Providing detailed information on competitor sales and activities from web based sources
• Use internally generated data to profile existing customer base
• Meet specified daily lead generation and productivity targets
• Produce a monthly lead generation report
• CPD – Continually strive to improve personal development by improving search based methods and data compilation
Marketing Communication Responsibilities –
• Working with Scientific Marketing Communications Manager and other marketing colleagues to develop strategies and campaigns to nurture and qualify leads generated
• Develop direct mail, email and other marketing communications to enhance marketing campaigns
• Initiate and update existing/initiated new lead marketing campaigns in CRM system
• Build relationships with inside and field sales colleagues to be point of contact for sales team led Lead Generator projects
• Monitor marketing communications to new leads ensuring compliance with internal company policy and international data protection legislation


Knowledge of Marketplace –
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of the full companies business and brands
• Develop and maintain a good knowledge and understanding of the full portfolio of the products this company sells
• Develop insight and understanding of the life science industry and competitors
Operational Responsibilities –
• Follow the Company’s Minimum Standards set for the Scientific Marketing Associate role
• Work within guidelines of Company Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Evaluation of project KPI’s to allow correct recording of metrics and project feedback to internal stakeholders
• Work with all customer facing staff to maximise communication and improve efficiencies within sales and marketing teams
