Home Based: In a commutable distance of Boston, Massachusetts

This product promises to change the face of liquid handling robotics with its flexibility, its options for customization and the ability to add accessories such as Plate Shakers, Plate Readers and Vacuum Stations etc.

Do you have practical laboratory experience working with machines from companies such as Agilent, Beckman Coulter, Perkin Elmer, Tecan or Hamilton?

This is a brand new position created with the aim to support the ongoing success of this brand new Robotic Liquid Handler – Which is just one aspect of the company’s plans for future growth and Product Development!

As the Internal Applications Specialist you will play an integral role in shaping and driving the success of this innovative liquid handling automation product which is set to revolutionize the industry!

My Client design, develop and manufacture their all of their own machines and with their most recent release they have created a product with the smallest lab foot print in the industry as it stacks vertically rather than the usual horizontal style of other similar products.

There really is no other product like this on the market right now and this is the perfect opportunity for you to be part of an industry-wide revolution and make a name for yourself within high throughput screening.

Requirements of the Field Applications Specialist

• A minimum of a BSc degree in a Biological discipline such as Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology etc.

• Experience working with Liquid Handling Automation

• You must have experience of writing methods and working out optimisations for robotic automation – A true problem solver!

• Right now you may be working within an Applications Specialist, Automation Specialist or Automation Engineer within a company producing Liquid Handling Automation

OR

• You could be working in a laboratory working within an area such as a Pharmaceutical Research as part of the Automation Team, High-Throughput Screening Group (HTS Group) or an Academic Screening Lab

• You must hold a full USA driving license and be willing and able to travel around 70% of the time

The Role of Field Applications Specialist:

• Tailoring solutions to best fit customer needs

• Translate the requirements of the customer into method which can be executed by the company’s market-leading systems

• Training new users of the systems at customer sites

• Spending time working on customer sites to develop a solution and integrate the liquid handling automation into their laboratory

• Spend time in the office, planning and coordinating field visits and occasionally training customers on-site

• Install new accessories such as Plate Shakers, Plate Readers or Vacuum Stations to work with the systems at customer sites
