Immunology Field Scientist

Salary: Wide Open DOE + OTE: £7,000 - £10,000 + Company Car + Excellent Pension Scheme (Co. Pays 6%) + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Childcare Vouchers + Life Cover 3x Basic Salary

Territory: South UK

Based: Home Based, South UK (Birmingham, Coventry, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Cambridge, Stevenage etc.)


The Requirements of Immunology Field Scientist:

• PhD in a Biological-based scientific discipline such as: Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Medical Biology, Biomedical Science etc.

• Experience in data management such as basic statistical analysis and data handling, interpretation of scientific data, and development of graphics

• Excellence in scientific writing, presentation and speaking skills

• Ability to work as part of a team as well as achieving personal goals with minimal to moderate supervision and direction

• Ability to communicate effectively both internally throughout all levels and with customers in clinical, laboratory and research environments externally

• Strong track record in prioritizing and simultaneously managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment for timely completion of projects

• The Immunology Field Scientist must be very commercially aware and have a strong understanding of the sales process as they will be the initial step for customers during the sales cycle

• Full clean driving licence. Valid Passport & free to travel internationally

The Role of Immunology Field Scientist:

• Assume responsibility for physician- facing activities pertaining to specified areas in support of the company's specialist immunology business goals

• Develop and maintain contacts with key external opinion leaders and clinical investigators, physicians, pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, and other key customers regarding medical advances, collaborative studies, and product related issues

• Attend Conferences/Exhibitions and present data at key scientific events regarding company's specialist immunology products

• Work closely with the internal Specialist Immunology team to develop and implement strategies to promote sales of the immunology products in both the long and short term

• Participate as internal consultant and ad-hoc member of project/product development teams in providing scientific/technical input to ensure that clinical utility of company's products meets clinical needs

• Assist Marketing in the design, organization, execution and monitoring of pre and post-market field trials to confirm product performance and to maximize product positioning

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of scientific/clinical data and literature related to company and competitor immunology equipment and disease areas

• Effectively transfer this knowledge to key company personnel and external customers for business-related or educational purposes

• Work closely with the Territory Sales Managers to optimize customer education and growth of sales due to optimal usage of the specialist immunology products
