Senior Regional Sales Manager Life Sciences – UK & Benelux

Salary: circa £75,000 – circa £90,000 Basic + 19% Annual Bonus + FX Executive Company Car + to 8% Matched Pension + BUPA Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday + 8 days statutory + 1 day off for your birthday + Home Office Allowance + Childcare Vouchers + Phone + Laptop

Based: Ideally UK or Belgium

The Requirements:

• As the Regional Sales Manager you will be managing a team right now of at least 6-10 people and the more people managed the better; it would also be beneficial if you have managed National Sales Managers & Applications Managers
• You will have extensive experience working within the dynamic Life Sciences market, and have a strong network within this industry as the Regional Sales Manager
• You must have led a sales region worth at least $10M - $50M, this is a key requirement and you ideally will have worked your way up through the sales ranks in a life science company from Account Manager, National Sales Manager to Regional Sales Director or Head of Sales UK & Europe so you can truly lead people by experience
• Within the Regional Sales Manager UK & Benelux role you will have come from a Life Science Company having led sales and applications teams selling Proteomics/Protein based technologies, Genomics, Cell Biology, Stem Cell, Cell Signalling, Neuroscience, Immunology reagents, consumables and lab equipment, ideally holding a minimum of a BSc degree within a Scientific subject such as: Biology, Biochemistry, Bioscience, Immunology, Molecular Biology or equivalent
• Working within similar companies such as: Thermo Fisher (Life Technologies or Invitrogen), GE Chromatography, Qiagen, LI-COR or Syngene
• As the Regional Sales Manager you will be able to drive and motivate a sales team and region across continents with the ability to get the best out of every person you work with


The Responsibilities:

• Define, implement and develop continuously commercial strategies for Life Sciences Group in the region which includes both the UK and Benelux, in line with the Sales Director for Europe and the Group guidelines
• You will be managing a team/have 3 direct reports in turn leading over 30 sales and applications specialists across the UK & Benelux region
• Realising a budget of in excess of $50M, with full P&L responsibility held
• Coordinating sales in order to achieve sales growth and profitability targets as well as managing, monitoring and coaching your team/managers, driving the overall business
• Being a key part of the negotiations with their biggest customers such as: Large Pharmaceutical, Academia and Research, as well as sharing best practice and process with the EMEA Management team
• Define a strategic commercial plan and set specific sales and profitability targets for each Sales Team based on growth and opportunities
