Coagulation Sales Specialist

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 + 20% OTE (Uncapped) + Company Car + Phone + Laptop + Pension + Private Healthcare (Inc. Family)

Territory: South West England and West Wales

Based: Home based in South West UK (Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Cardiff etc.)

The Requirements

• As the Coagulation Sales Specialist you must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of NHS Pathology Laboratories

• Knowledge of the NHS Procurement process within labs focusing on areas such as Haemostasis, Thrombosis, in vitro diagnostics and/or clinical diagnostics

• Right now you could be a Sales Representative, Account Manager, Business Development Executive, Territory Manager or a Sales Specialist, selling Assays and/or Instruments into NHS Laboratories


• You could be working as a Biomedical Scientist for the NHS right now with a desire to get into sales. You could be working in any of the following Pathology/Blood Science labs: Immunology, Haematology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Clinical Chemistry

• Within the Coagulation Sales Specialist role you must be comfortable working from a home based office, being able to manage your own diary and undertake regular field visits around the territory

• A Life Sciences degree or equivalent in either: Biomedical Science, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or similar field would be required within the Coagulation Sales Specialist role

• Must be able to display the ability to work in a fast-paced and hard working environment to thrive in the Coagulation Sales Specialist position, you will also be highly self motivated and a great team player

• Must hold a full clean UK driving licence

The Role

• You will be responsible for selling their entire portfolio of Haematology focused instruments and consumables

• Your time will be split – 80% Seeking New Business and 20% Account Management

• You must be able to demonstrate an ability to build and develop strong customer relationships within the NHS whilst also displaying in-depth technical knowledge of the Haemostasis systems

• You will be speaking with many different decision makers within the organisations to include Procurement Managers, Finance Directors, Laboratory Managers, Pathology Service Managers and even the end users such as Biomedical Scientists, Blood Scientists, Pathology Scientists, QC Technicians etc.

• You may also have to liaise with the UKAS representative in the Laboratory regarding ISO regulations

• Customer base consists of small district hospital labs up to automated oncology NHS Laboratories

• Their UK sales team currently consists of 5 sales people supported by 3 applications specialists

• The team is highly supportive of each other, especially on tenders where even the General Manager gets involved to assist you
