Inside Sales Manager - UK

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE + Brilliant Commission Structure + Up to 4% Pension Scheme Contribution + Share Options + Free Onsite Parking + 20 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Office Based: Ayrshire

The Requirements:

• A BSc Hons Degree within a Life Science or related field such as Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry or Chemistry is highly desirable or multiple years selling Life Sciences products and/or consumables

• Ideally you will already have 2+ years experience working in a management capacity as a: Inside Sales Manager, Sales Supervisor/Team Leader, Internal Sales Manager or Telesales Manager selling laboratory consumables, scientific instrumentation/capital equipment or services


• 2+ years experience working in a B2B/B2C sales management role in a fast paced telesales environment, and looking to enhance your career in a scientific sales management role

• Previous management experience of field or in-house sales representatives highly desirable

• Live in a commutable distance to their wonderful offices – a beautiful Georgian building in Ayrshire – on a daily basis

The Role:

• To effectively manage the time of a team of 3 Inside Sales Representatives including providing motivation, focus and support, setting targets and determining on-going training requirements

• Defend and develop sales to given accounts in your sales territory based upon a combination of marketing resource and skills

• Responsible for liaising with and developing relationships with key influencers to include the retailers in the UK & Ireland

• Provide a monthly written report on the situation and developments in your areas of responsibility

• Be actively involved in the budgeting process and take responsibility for assigned territories

• Utilise and co-ordinate with sales support services to help achieve goals & KPI targets

• Conduct staff appraisals for all assigned staff
